All fighting styles in Roblox Arcane Odyssey have a unique flavor that sets them apart from the others, and that can make choosing your ideal style incredibly difficult. Since each fighting style comes with its own set of pros and cons, you’re always going to put a lot of thought into the type you choose.

However, specific Basic Fight Styles will edge past their competition and will just serve you better in more scenarios than the rest. That’s why we’ve compiled a ranking of all six Basic Fighting Styles, so you know what to save up for next!
6 Basic Combat
Everyone gets to test Basic Combat at least once; it’s the first fighting style you learn in Roblox Arcane Odyssey. That’s also why it’s designed to be a ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’ fighting style.
While it’s a great beginner fighting style and gives the players a good idea of how to rack up combos and handle multiple opponents, there’s really no reason for you not to change fighting styles once you improve your base stats and collect enough Galleons. However, you can still relearn the Basic Combat fighting style through the NPC at Whitesummit for 20 Galleons once your strength stat surpasses 30.
5 Boxing
You can look at the Boxing Fighting Style as a direct upgrade to basic combat. You get access to an arsenal of agile, destructive physical combos and have the potential to demolish enemies with a few well-timed jabs. However, what holds it back is the complete lack of ranged attacks in its available combos.

You can still unleash loads of damage through mastery of the Boxing style, so if getting up close and personal is what you look forward to, definitely try it out. You can learn the Boxing Fighting Style through the NPC at Goso Jungle if you have a minimum base stat of 30, although you’ll need 200 Galleons to purchase the lesson.
4 Cannon Fist
Now, we’re getting to this list's more exciting fighting styles. The Cannon Fist turns you into a cannon-hurling machine. Gaining the ability to fire off cannon-balls on your own is a fantastic skill in itself, especially since it means you can chip down enemy ships without much risk. Additionally, it’s a great fighting style to master if you plan on dealing with your enemies at range without worrying about any cooldown.
Cannon Fist has a bunch of downsides, though. Firstly, you actually need to have cannon balls in your stock before you fire them, which means each fight can get expensive if you’re not accurate with your shots. You’re also quite vulnerable as you take your shots since it’s a comparatively slow fighting style.
If you want to learn Cannon Fist, you’ll have to complete two bounties and get your strength stat up to 80 before learning it for 300 Galleons from the NPC at Palo Town.
3 Iron Leg
Iron Leg is one of this list's more versatile fighting styles, primarily due to its excellent compatibility with hand-wielded weapons. The Iron Leg Fighting Style revolves around damaging your opponents with kick combos, so you can easily add to the damage with a powerful weapon like the Katana.
On top of that, your iron kicks also deal damage over time due to bleeding. It has the potential to knock your opponents back by several yards, also giving you time to escape opponents equipped with slower fighting styles when you’re in a pinch. You can learn Iron Leg through the mentor at Harvest Island after completing the Leg Day quest and training your base stat up to 80.
2 Sailor Fist
Sailor Fist has some of the more unique elements in its Fighting Style in all of Roblox Arcane Odyssey. For one, you get to harness the element of water to unleash devastating water-based attacks, which also give your enemies the Soaked status effect. Soaked opponents receive increased damage from Lightning and Magic, leaving the door open for even more potent combos if you’ve got the right tools.

If there’s any downside to the Sailor Fist Fighting Style, it’s that you have to dunk your head in the water to ‘recharge’. With the Sailor Fist, you have an energy bar that depletes over time, and the more exhausted it is, the lesser the damage you deal.
For this reason, you need to keep vials with you or ensure water bodies are nearby before engaging in more extended combat periods. However, the base strength stat requirement sits at a whopping 100 points, so make sure you undergo vigorous training before approaching the mentor at Shell Island.
1 Thermo Fist
There’s a reason Thermo Fist stands as the best fighting style in Roblox Arcane Odyssey. Or rather, a bunch of reasons. Firstly, Thermo Fist is the only fighting style that amps up in power the more combos you hit.
Thermo Fist comes with a temperature bar that slowly goes up during combat: at 50%, you begin engulfing your opponents in a fiery sphere that deals damage over time.
While newer users may take a while to get used to Thermo Fist, the effort is well worth it. With its passive energy regen, you’ll always have a leg up over your opponents as they wear down. The only downside is the complexity and cost Thermo Fist has since you have to level your base strength up to 100 and pay the mentor in Ravenna 300 Galleons to learn it.
Remember, you must complete a treasure-hunting quest before Ravenna agrees to teach your Thermo Fist.
